BUILDING THE DOWNTOWN JACKSONVILLE DESERVES
Jacksonville’s downtown has the potential to become a destination worth talking about – worth exploring for both visitors and residents alike.
The redevelopment of the Jacksonville Shipyards and construction of the Miller Electric Center, with an eye toward the Stadium of the Future, will transform our downtown into a thriving riverfront.
A revitalized downtown will bring new jobs into the area, attract tourism revenue and drive momentum on additional development throughout the urban core.
A REIMAGINED SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT
MILLER ELECTRIC CENTER: POWERING PERFORMANCE
In 18 months, we constructed Miller Electric Center to relocate Jaguars’ football operations from inside our existing stadium and into a dedicated, new facility. The new, state-of-the-art, 125,000-square-foot sports performance center — Miller Electric Center — is maintained by the Jaguars and owned by the city. It includes locker rooms, training and recovery areas, medical support facilities, a weight room, player dining, office space and a draft room. It also features 2,090-seat shaded grandstand seats in the fan amenity area, complete with concessions, restrooms, public art and a Fanatics PRO SHOP.
Miller Electric Center opened for training camp, in advance of the Jaguars’ 2023 season.
