The timing for development of two vacant city-owned parcels downtown has changed.
With the Jacksonville City Council’s OK of a $26.67 million taxpayer financing package on Tuesday, developer Steve Atkins said everything is in place to begin restoration of the historic Laura Street Trio.
The Jacksonville City Council signed off on a $24.7 million incentive package for the redevelopment of the Laura Street Trio on Tuesday, setting the stage for a major restoration project in the heart of downtown.
Work is starting on restoration of the century-old Hogan and Church street buildings Downtown.
The Downtown building, built in 1902 as a residence, will be converted into office, restaurant and retail space in two phases.
