The plan to relocate the Museum of Science & History (MOSH) in Jacksonville, Florida, from its longtime home along the city’s Southbank Riverwalk to downtown Jacksonville’s Northbank reached a major milestone this week.
Trevato Development Group has started clearing the Southbank site where it intends to build The 1230 Hendricks, a 345-unit apartment project with a parking deck and ground-level retail space.
The international firm DLR Group will lead the design team for the $85 million Museum of Science and History proposed for the Shipyards on the Downtown Northbank.
The Downtown Investment Authority will consider recommending nearly $670,000 in city incentives through the Downtown Preservation and Revitalization Program for the restoration of the Porter House Mansion at 510 N. Julia St.
The proposed $182.2 million redevelopment of the former Florida Times-Union campus along Riverside Avenue is moving forward.
When VyStar Credit Union decided to build and own an estimated $22 million, seven-story parking garage to support its growing Downtown corporate campus, CEO Brian Wolfburg said the organization “didn’t want to build just any parking garage.”
