COMMUNITY BENEFITS AGREEMENT SIGNED
On Sept. 13, Mayor Donna Deegan signed Bill 2024-905 which allocates the remaining $94 million in City of Jacksonville funding for the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA). The additional funding will supplement what was agreed to under the Stadium of the Future legislation for a total of $300 million split between the city and the Jaguars to be allocated throughout the county.
“We knew we wanted to do more than build just a Stadium of the Future — as huge as that is — we wanted to make one of the largest quality of life investments in our city’s history and that is exactly what we’ve done,” Deegan said.

We celebrated the rebirth of historic OUTEAST community grocer, Debs Store on 9/4 — ‘904 Day’ — at the ribbon cutting of The Corner at Debs Store. Located at the corner of 5th Ave. and Florida Ave., The Corner is a new North Florida Goodwill initiative that aims to provide Jacksonville’s Historic Eastside neighborhood with a much-needed venue for fresh, affordable and healthy food options while providing employment and career services onsite via GoodCareers Center upstairs. The Jaguars Foundation is a proud sponsor of the GoodCareers Center’s computer lab.
OFFICE TOWER GAINS HEIGHT
The Jacksonville Shipyards construction team is currently working on column supports for the fourth floor of what will be home to the new Jaguars front office headquarters at One Shipyards Place.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION EVENT
On Sept. 14, the Jaguars Foundation celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by partnering with Verizon to host a food distribution event at Englewood High School in conjunction with Feeding Northeast Florida. The event provided groceries, supplies and Jaguars-branded giveaways to more than 375 area Hispanic families in need.
WHAT’S COOKIN’ WITH THE JAGS
The Jaguars teamed up with Fresh From Florida to teach participants from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida and senior residents in the OUTEAST community how to create fresh dishes utilizing seasonal produce. This was achieved through a series of culinary classes at The Palate, a woman-owned kitchen studio. Chef Justin with Fresh From Florida provided hands-on demonstrations and shared Florida-fresh recipes.
